Yığmatepe Residences is a low-rise residential development comprising five housing blocks with a total project area of approximately 25,000 m². The main design concept was to organize the buildings around a continuous shared landscape while maintaining a more human-scaled residential environment. Daylight, views, privacy and the relationship with open spaces were key considerations in the site planning. Recessed building volumes, generous balconies and terraces strengthen the connection between the residences and the landscape, while light-toned façades and vertical timber elements give the development a warm and restrained architectural character. A central swimming pool, pedestrian paths, seating areas and layered planting form the main focus of the shared outdoor spaces. Vehicular and pedestrian circulation were separated as much as possible to create a calmer and safer residential environment.
