MANAVKUYI EGE HOUSING
Located in Manavkuyu, Izmir, this approximately 60,000 m² mixed-use residential development was designed as a six-block complex combining housing and commercial functions. The site plan was developed around the relationship between the buildings and the surrounding urban fabric, with daylight, pedestrian circulation and access to open spaces forming key design considerations. Commercial units at ground level establish a direct connection with the street, while the residential floors above open toward balconies, terraces and landscaped areas through large glazed surfaces. Variations in building height and façade articulation help break down the scale of the development while maintaining a consistent architectural language across the project. Continuous landscaped areas, pedestrian paths and shared spaces between the blocks form the main open-space structure of the development. By balancing building density with landscape and communal areas, the project creates a contemporary mixed-use environment that brings together housing, commerce and shared urban life within the Manavkuyu context.
