FOCA KOZBEYLI VILLA-ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN

Located on a sloping site in Kozbeyli, Foça, this private villa was developed by MG Architecture & Interiors as an integrated architectural and interior design project. The main design idea was to transform the natural slope of the site into a stepped spatial organization, allowing the living spaces on different levels to connect directly with the landscape and surrounding views. The different floors are organized according to social, private and personal uses, while large glazed surfaces and terraces maintain visual continuity throughout the house. Sea and landscape views became one of the main drivers of the planning, allowing the natural surroundings to be experienced from multiple levels. On the main living floor, the living room and kitchen are arranged in a fluid layout opening onto a generous terrace. Deep overhangs create sheltered semi-open spaces and extend the interior toward the garden, while the bedroom levels balance privacy with direct visual connections to the landscape. A library and study, second living area, indoor swimming pool and cinema room are distributed across the different levels of the villa according to their functions. Natural stone, timber and neutral tones continue throughout both the interior and exterior, reinforcing the relationship between the building and its setting. The project treats the sloping terrain not as a limitation, but as a design opportunity that creates spatial variety, stronger connections with the landscape and different perspectives toward the sea. Location: Kozbeyli, Foça, İzmir, Türkiye Project Type: Private Villa Scope: Architectural Design + Interior Design
