CERAMICS WORKSHOP
Completed in 2022, the architectural and interior design of this ceramic studio was developed by MG Architecture & Interiors. The project was shaped around the specific needs of ceramic production, combining different working methods, storage requirements and user-specific routines within a flexible spatial layout. Concrete, timber and metal surfaces create a restrained material language that reflects the workshop’s production character. Custom storage beneath the staircase, open shelving systems and purpose-designed worktables help organize the daily use of the space while allowing for different working scenarios. Large glazed openings bring natural light deep into the interior, while the exposed ceiling, visible ventilation system and metal lighting elements reinforce the studio’s industrial character. Custom metal-and-timber furniture and selected wall surfaces were developed as part of the overall design rather than as separate additions. The project brings together a functional production environment and a more personal approach to workspace design, creating a studio that supports both making and everyday use.
