BAZEKOL INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL INTERIOR DESIGN
The 28,000 m² interiors of Bazekol Hospital in İzmir were redesigned in response to a new functional program and changing operational requirements. Outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, waiting areas and shared spaces were reorganized around a clearer circulation system for patients, visitors and medical staff. Spatial continuity, wayfinding, user comfort and the technical requirements of a large-scale healthcare facility shaped the main design decisions. Materials, colour, built-in furniture and lighting were developed as part of a consistent interior language across the different departments of the hospital. The interior design aims to make the scale of the hospital feel calmer and easier to navigate while maintaining a strong connection with the institution’s overall identity.
