BAZEKOL INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL ARCHITECTURE AND INTERIOR DESIGN
Located within the Sada Health and Residential Complex in Izmir, the 28,000 m² Bazekol Hospital was redesigned by MG Architecture & Interiors in response to changing investment and operational requirements. The original architectural design of the hospital block was also developed by MG Architecture & Interiors. Following the completion of the structural shell, the existing structural system was retained while the building was comprehensively reworked to meet the needs of the new investor. The functional program, department layouts, patient and staff circulation, main entrance sequence and façade design were all reorganized around the new hospital model. Architecture and interior design were developed together to create a consistent relationship between the hospital’s external identity and the spatial experience inside. Large glazed surfaces and a strong framing system define the façade, while clear circulation, intuitive wayfinding, user comfort and the technical requirements of a contemporary healthcare facility shaped the interior design strategy.
