BAYRAKLI HOUSING
Located in Bayraklı, Izmir, this residential project approaches urban transformation not only as the renewal of existing buildings, but as an opportunity to improve everyday living conditions and the quality of shared open spaces. The development consists of two residential blocks, with the relationship between the buildings, landscape and surrounding open areas forming a key part of the site planning strategy. Horizontal façade lines, generous openings and balconies create a balanced architectural language while allowing more natural light into the residences. The distance and controlled gaps between the two blocks help maintain privacy while creating continuity across the landscaped and communal areas. At ground level, pedestrian paths, green spaces and shared outdoor areas help reduce the impact of building and vehicle density. The project was developed as a contemporary residential model that brings together housing, landscape and communal space within the changing urban fabric of Bayraklı.
